Garphyttan was founded in 2020 by Johan Skullman and an experienced team in the outdoor retail industry. Garphyttan is built on the principles inspired by rural Sweden, where the line between work and leisure blurs and merges
The collection is divided into three product series - Original, Crafter and Specialist - each with their respective distinctive features that enable a wide range of applications. The vision is a clothing collection that blurs boundaries and inspires the user to push their own.

The Original Series adopts the historical and traditional perspective that has led to timless classics like the Anorak, Smock, Parka and Cargo Pants. Garphyttan has modernized these garments with colors and functions that are rooted in the natural palette and follow traditional utility perspectives
Crafter
Crafter
The Crafter Series is a line for working outdoors, characterized by high wear resistance and thoughtful designs for carrying tools, nails and more. Meant for professionals ranging from craftsmanship, gardening, forestry, repair and maintenance. The materials are comfortable with stretch properties and practical functions that facilitate the task at hand.
Specialist
Specialist
The Specialist Series is developed for higher levels of activity with several adaptions in moisture regulation. Garphyttan combines modern materials to create technical products that are both durable and lightweight. Products from the specialist Series meet high standards and are adapted for a number of different areas of use, such as trekking, hiking, and ski touring.
Garphyttan is a classic working community just outside Örebro, Sweden. Nearby you'll find the Garphyttan National Park, which is one of Sweden's oldest national parks. It was established in 1909 when the Swedish Parliament set aside land for nine national parks, the first in Europe.
The purpose of Garphyttan is to symbolize the old working society: a life on farms with work in forest, land, mills, cabins and forges. It was a time when the line between work and leisure, man and nature, indoors and outdoors was not as clear as it is today, and people lived together in harmony with nature in a completely different way. It was a hard life in many ways, where raw materials from nature, mountains and land were processed into everyday products, work that required reliable clothing and tools.
The ideals and needs of this time are something that we at Garphyttan cherish and which are reflected in our products.
